The Dark Angel
Umm, hi.
I know I'm not your idea of a typical 14-year-old girl. My birthday's on 9th February, and I happen to like that date a lot. I share my birthday & birthday month with very awesome people.
I have a thing for heavy music, I love J-Rock and heavy metal. I adore the Visual Kei scene.
I'm an otaku. I spend my days rotting at the computer gawking at anime, manga, music and whatnot.
I'm weird. I tend to like dark and depressing things. It doesn't make me emo or suicidal. People do have their dark moments.
If you're easily offended by gay things, this might not be the right place for you. I love yaoi and you can't change that.
Interesting guitar riffs and shredding are my weakness. You might think guitar's my specialty, but it isn't. I do play acoustic and electric guitar, but piano's what I major in. I play the Guzheng a little too.
And that's about all I have to say about me.

.MOOD.
mind twist

This girl is forever random. She might sometimes suffer from moodswings, but most of the time she's feeling... happy? I don't know.
She likes to be called goth and not emo.
She is all for gay.
She has somehow developed a glasses fetish from staring at the picture up there.
When she's feeling sad, she'll go ranting about things and sound like a philosopher.
She is a narcissist.
Red, black and purple are the colours to describe her mood.

-Express Yourself Day - Possibly the most fun?- 1:55 PM

Hello :D
Yesterday was Express Yourself Day, International Friendship Day and Cedar Arts Festival.
It was pretty cool indeed~
We were tourists.
Well, more like only Jyoti and I were tourists.
I brought a straw hat for her, it looked so awesome XDD
I wore my black hat from Japan ^^
And we were equipped with brochures, maps and stuff.
And since we opened a map of Marina Bay and failed to fold it back, we decided to use Geography as a reason to leave it on our table! Hahahahaha.
I said it was a tablecloth LOL!

One of the awesome parts was song dedication.
Jyoti dedicated Fuwa Fuwa Time to Cephy.
I dedicated The Invisible Wall. No message, yet a clear message sent out.
1. For the general audience out there who loves a wee bit of heavy metal. Reference: the senior who started cheering and going YEAH!!
2. For the J-rock lovers. Reference: Vanessa who was asking me this during choir: "Did you hear that Gazette song which played for 30 seconds?" I was like, um yeah, I was the person who dedicated it, mind you.
3. The hidden message behind the song... It was dedicated to 2C.
That is for you to find out, but the clue lies behind the title XP

During Geography we kinda sucked up to P. Lim. Because our dumb classmates went to change, eating up Geog period. So we were stressing how much we loved Geog, although it was all for the sake of Jyoti and her obsession with _____ XD

PE was last period in place of Assembly. Kinda sucked, really, 'cuz I was so sweaty when I needed to change. Eww.

Then there was the choir party~ Without the Sec 1s, it wasn't much of a welcome party, but at least we still enjoyed the food.
I really oughta thank Lynn's mother. The Obolo pastries were very delightful.

Then soon it was Arts Fest preparation and performance.
Honestly, I almost cried.
Ms C. put me in the second row for The Wind.
All of a sudden she decided to make us sing one by one, I was still caught by surprise when my turn came. So my high note was airy because I didn't push enough and she did not gave me any second chance, saying that airy voices make the pitch unstable.
Sadly I think I'm more rooted than whoever she swapped me with, I can tell from listening experience.
But I will move on, being inspiring does not depend on where you're standing, or how much you're liked, it depends on your heart, your passion for music and conveying whatever message you'd like to send out to the public.
That was the last time we'd be singing the song during practices anyway.
Still, at least my parents were not disappointed.

Okay~ I think I'm damn happy, alright.
TERU ACCEPTED MY FRIEND REQUEST!! ZOMG.
Here's a pic of the band guys.
Teru is the hoodie guy in the middle =D

Another cool pic~
He's on the left. Don't mistake him as a woman just 'cuz he has long hair. He's more manly than anyone you can possibly think of, and he screams better than BMTH shit.

And one of the benefits of being friends on Facebook. Hahaha.
I see awesome pics of him going wild, but I shall not post them, okay?
XDD

Well yeah that's about it.
See ya, folks! And enjoy life.
I have a big pile of homework waiting for me but no, I'm not gonna bother starting on it.

-Crossfaith.- 5:04 PM

Hehe, I went to Peninsula on Sunday and re-stringed my guitar, coated strings. And it rocks.
I should have asked for the DR neon strings though :(
I was influenced by what other people said, that silver would match my guitar the best.
Well, yeah. But it's such a boring colour, all guitar strings are silver T_T
THEY HAVE FREAKING NEON ORANGE O_O
I want that colour, it looks like your guitar is ablaze~
And well, when I was there, I guess I didn't fully concentrate on the re-stringing, 'cuz I bought Leda, Aoi and Kaoru's guitar pick.
I love Leda's one the most. Haha, pretty obvious, he's the best guitarist out of all 3...
His pick is TRANSPARENT. :DD Cool eh?

Okay I feel like mentioning, I have found a new love X3
They're called Crossfaith.
Super unpopular and underrated, they're an electronica metalcore band.
They are NOT visual kei though, as much as I love V-kei. Haha.

I FELL IN LOVE WITH THEIR PROGRAMMER.
OMG.
His name is Terufumi Tamano, but stage name is Teru~
Yes, Teru :D
Both Teru (Crossfaith) and Teru (Versailles) are awesome, I swear.
Well, he plays the synthesizer.
Stage equipment, as I've gathered after much digging, are the following:
Apple Macbook Pro
Korg Kaoss Pad
Roland SP-606 Sampler

It's damn cool okay, those equipment.
I saw the features and was like O_O
He can do lots with that =D
And he's a key influence in terms of the band's direction, since they wanted heavy metal with the electronic sound.

Alright, you GOTTA watch this.

Look at 1:01. HIS FACE :O
Utter pwnage, much?
Hahaha, feels like he's dominating the world with his awesome synth mixes...
Random fact: He calls himself the Psycho Killer at Crossfaith on Facebook.
Yeah, I added him. (Don't know if he'd accept but never mind~)

I'm so glad I play the piano... 'Cuz it's so close to a synthesizer. LOL!
Well I guess now I have a reason to buy a Mac.
GARAGE BAND!! SYNTHESIZER SOFTWARE! HOME STUDIO RECORDING!
ZOMG.

Haha, this is the first time I'm so obsessed with the keyboardist/programmer/synth guy.
I've always been crazy about guitarists and stuff, never the keyboardist.
Yuki from An Cafe is the perfect example for that.
Don't even wanna elaborate.
Whereas Teru is awesome :)))))
I LOVE HIS HAIR, HIS SCREAMING, STAGE DIVING, CROWD SURFING AND HEADBANGING! Gosh.
I think I'm going mad.

As proof of the epic-ness of his gear, I shall post a picture XDD

Hoodies FTW!

LOL. That's the end of what I have to say today~
Goodbye! =)

-Updates on my life.- 9:38 PM

Hey guys, it's me again :)
Wanted to update you on certain stuff.
Hmm, you guys know about the guitar competition right?
Yeah I got 3rd and I'm kinda pissed right now 'cuz I just saw the DVD.
The guy who got fucking 2nd, he SUCKED.
His rhythm was all over the place, damn off.
He wasn't even listening, wasn't even aware he was not following the track.
I don't understand how such a performance could beat mine.
Just 'cause mine has some extra funny funny accidentals?
Nah, that's really not the reason.
But WHATEVER. I feel that Choon Hian should've gotten 2nd. FANBOY-ism for the win.

Okay, moving on to Choir SYF.
Well guess what, we got Gold with Honours.
I honestly thought we sounded horrible, with the rushing and all.
It was chaos on stage.
The judges were lenient, I guess.
Seems like everyone's results improved. Sigh.
We could do at least ten times better, I swear.
At least we moved Mdm Tan to tears.
Now that's something.

Argh. I got a stye in my eye, apparently.
I didn't even tell my parents.
I don't wanna see a doctor, like I have the time to do so.
Hope it doesn't swell up badly tomorrow. = =
I wish it goes away like all the others did T_T

I hate doing art D:
Why must it be so freaking difficult.
Cutting all these papers of black and white photos, trying to make sense out of them as a collage, and with an ant-infested table.
Not very nice.

It has been a Deluhi listening fest for me today...
And so I discovered some very delightful songs.
This one, for example.

It sounds like... DBSK even. Until the very well-incorporated solo comes in.

This song too.
Headphones recommended to enjoy the song at perfection.
Teehee, I love the Avenged Sevenfold song A Little Piece of Heaven. It's so cute. Check out the lyrics :D As well as the music video. Though I'll dish out a warning to those who can't handle cartoon violence, blood and gore :P

I'm going to Peninsula tomorrow.
I need to restring my guitar.
The E string has this intonation problem, the octave onwards is flat.
If you wanna know what an intonation problem is, google it. I can't be bothered to explain something like that = =
Well, my strings are rusting already, so I guess it's okay.
My main purpose was actually to go and buy artist picks at $1 each, as planned 2 weeks ago. Hahaha.

I shall blog next time.
Happy listening :D
Bye~

-Screamo? Not for the faint-hearted.- 10:16 AM

Hahaha. Screamo is definitely not for the faint-hearted.
Neither is it nice for parents to walk in on you.
I accidentally blasted Kowareteiku Sekai too loudly. And there came the screaming part.
Oh noo. My mother happened to be standing outside my room D:
She had no apparent reaction, since she happened to be blasting her karaoke.
Anyway, there is something wrong with my MixPod.
I don't know why I can't add songs! T_T
And I can actually DELETE songs. o.o"
Anyway I just wanted to share some nice songs.
Both by 30 Seconds to Mars. (My secret listening pleasure, actually.)

This is the acoustic version of The Kill. Enjoy the nice acoustic sounds as well as Jared Leto's amazing vocals *_*

This is the acoustic version of The Story. I liked the matching of the two acoustic guitars, and it reminded me of Vinushka, somehow.

Alright then, happy listening!
